About the Role

You'll oversee and coordinate the content and sound of triple j's Breakfast program to contribute to the maintenance and growth of the target audience. You will produce daily the on-air triple j Breakfast program including providing in-studio production support, managing talkback, guests and regulars.

The role involves:
  • Planning, researching and producing program segments/interviews to inform and entertain the audience
  • Providing feedback and support for the program presenters, improving their performance and skills, enhancing their confidence and organising their work schedule
  • Driving program planning and strategic content initiatives to build audience reach
  • Developing and fostering a wide network of contacts and sources, liaising and managing key relationships both internal and external
  • Identifying social media trends to better serve the triple j Breakfast audience
  • Planning and preparing outside broadcasts for the Breakfast program and other triple j events as required

About You

We are seeking a content maker with national radio experience, including proven experience producing key elements of program sound, with strong editorial skills and judgement. You will also have strong interpersonal and motivational skills and ability to work under pressure with creative people, to tight deadlines.

You have:
  • Accomplished ability to produce creative and engaging radio for a young audience and online content that engages and challenges a youth demographic
  • An intricate understanding of the audience and the strategic direction of triple j
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to provide feedback to presenters
  • Good working knowledge and experience in operating broadcast systems and production equipment
