Estimating Manager Position Overview:

As the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating process, from initial bid preparation to final submission. You will lead a team of estimators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and competitive bids. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and mentor a team of estimators, providing guidance and training as needed.
  2. Oversee the preparation of accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
  3. Review project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids.
  5. Analyze project requirements and constraints to develop value engineering solutions.
  6. Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive advantage.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and pricing.
  8. Present bids to senior management for approval and participate in bid review meetings.
  9. Monitor and track bid results and provide feedback for future improvements.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in estimating, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
