Job role

  • The Senior Risk and Business Continuity Advisor contributes to the delivery of the Department’s Risk Management and Business Continuity Policies and Procedures. This includes assisting the Senior executive group (SEG) and divisions to identify, manage and communicate risks in a timely manner to strengthen governance and risk management awareness across the department.
  • The Senior Risk and Business Continuity Advisor reports to the Principal Risk Management Consultant, who is ultimately accountable to the Director, Audit & Risk. The Senior Risk and Business Continuity Advisor is responsible for providing assistance and support in the efficient and effective delivery of services to the Department for Education (DfE) and in the provision of high quality and responsive risk and business continuity advice to relevant officers across the department.
  • The Senior Risk and Business Continuity Advisor will be responsible for contributing to the day to day delivery of effective and efficient Risk and Business Continuity advice across the department, the delivery of appropriate governance and associated advisory services and maintaining efficient work practices within the Audit & Risk Directorate.
