Qantas Loyalty is a high performing business and has a history of launching exciting new brands and services that make a difference to its millions of Frequent Flyer and Business Rewards members. Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards remain at the core of the program, while the business has evolved to include a number of businesses such as Qantas Money, Qantas Insurance, Qantas Hotels & Holidays and Qantas Wine.

The Marketing Manager manages the marketing activity across Loyalty that supports partners and commercial revenue targets for the Loyalty business. You will provide input into marketing strategies and planning that support marketing objectives. This role is responsible for the execution and delivery of the activity associated with marketing campaigns. Working closely with the Marketing Leadership team, the Loyalty Commercial team and our partners to optimise marketing and identify opportunities to drive growth.

Further to this, you will also manage the execution of integrated campaign activity (across email, owned assets, offline and BTL) including creative development, project planning, media planning and stakeholder management, developing and delivering campaigns that meet business objectives and drive return on investment. Tight campaign delivery and timely communication with all internal and external customers and stakeholders throughout the campaign development process is key. Testing creative outcomes is highly regarded and evaluating and reporting on campaign activity to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

You’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Marketing campaign development and execution of both tactical and brand initiatives, with diverse experience across channels
  • Sound understanding and background within loyalty programs and/or hotels and holidays industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of campaign reporting and analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to act as a Marketing lead managing complex campaigns and projects involving both internal stakeholders such as commercial and product teams, and external agencies / partners.
  • Experience in performance marketing (Paid Search) favourable
  • Experience in using email build, website CMS management and delivery systems
  • Experience in dealing with Legal and in understanding and communicating legal and commercial constraints to partners.
  • Experience with budget management and reconciliation favourable
  • Negotiation skills - balancing Loyalty objectives and the member proposition to drive successful business outcomes across channels in collaboration with partners
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with Qantas management, and senior executive levels of external partners.
