ABOUT THE ROLE: 

As part of Tecala's Cloud team, the Senior Cloud Architect will be directly responsible for designing and implementing solutions using modern architecture across multiple customers. As a technical leader, you'll be working on cutting-edge cloud designs to improve customer's Information technology performance, uptime and security.

Specifically in this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing technical leadership strategy and roadmap designs for the next generation of cloud solutions
  • Architecture design for public and private cloud solutions
  • Collaborating with various technical stakeholder clients, including the architecture, security, network and infrastructure teams to enable technology selection.
  • Providing support to project managers through developing tasks, estimates, and dependencies to meet delivery expectations.
  • Creating and publishing technical design standards to ensure reusability.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Ideally you’ll have:

  • 10+ years of working experience with VMware Cloud or Microsoft HyperV solutions
  • Experience with design and deployment of Azure Stack HCI/Hub/Edge
  • Experience with migration to and from Public clouds
  • Practical experience in designing and implementing public cloud platforms 
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps and associated deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with core infrastructure-related areas such as Active Directory, VMware virtualisation, SAN, and backups (mandatory).
  • Experience developing technology architectures for traditional private virtualised environments.
  • Knowledge of security and implementation of SSO/MFA.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues through monitoring, logging and debugging tooling.
  • Significant experience in the end-to-end project life cycle – including high-level architecture, detailed design & implementation.
