We are a tech saavy, vibrant accounting firm, based in a large office with great park views in the centre of Kalamunda. Our office is easily accessible by public transport, Roe or Tonkin Highways.

Qualifications & experience

  • Chartered Accountant or CPA.
  • At least 5 years experience in Tax Accounting (in a Australian Tax Firm).
  • Financials and Tax Returns for Trusts, Companies, Partnerships, Sole Traders and Individuals. 
  • SMSF experience is a bonus, but not a requirement.
  • Complex Tax Planning, Multiple entity planning, proficient at capital gains tax calculations and small business restructures.
  • MUST be able to prepare financials and tax returns including the distributions / dividends / Division 7a components from start to finish. If you can't do this please don't apply.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Prepare financials and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and individuals using electronic workpapers (HowNow Smart workpapers).
  • Account for Division 7a loans, Dividends, Trust Distributions and inter-entity transactions.
  • Work autonomously with ability to manage own job list and deadlines.
  • Use Xero for preparation of Financials and Tax Returns.
  • No client contact required, all communication is run through the Directors.
  • Provide mentoring and support for professional and bookkeeping staff.
  • Prepare capital gains tax schedules and estimates for clients.
  • Strong use of AI to gain efficiencies in and leverage of technology advancements.
  • We have a beautiful large office with park views in centre of Kalamunda with coffee shops, restaurants and major shops all in walking distance.
  • Our team are all friendly, down to earth and regulary socialise. We have regular friday treats/drinks, birthday morning teas with sweet treats, nespresso coffee machine, pods, varities of milk, tea and hot chocolates all provided.
  • Using latest technology and AI to remove the repetitive parts of your job. Including: Xero Ledger, XPM, FYI Docs, BGL360, Trello, Player 2 Tax GPT, Annature, Business Fitness - Smart Workpapers, Now Infinity and ChatGPT.
