Manager Business Services Enablement

You will advance the business services functions including property, infrastructure and assets, administration and office management, stakeholder and events support, business continuity and records management, their systems, processes and supports for the National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (NIISQ Agency), Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and Nominal Defendant (ND) (collectively referred to as the Motor Accident Insurance Schemes Queensland or MAIS-Q). The employing entity for this role is NIISQ Agency.

PLEASE NOTE: Applications will be assessed as they are recieved by the panel as they are is keen to move quickly on this position.

Your role

Manage, integrate, monitor and improve business services across MAIS-Q and lead the delivery of projects and actions that drive the development and implementation of enabling strategies and plans, ensuring business continuity, governance and access that meet the agency needs now and into the future, ensuring programs of work are evaluated using robust benefits realisation and lessons learned.

Lead the delivery of a range of business services and operational quality improvement projects/ initiatives, providing leadership and learning opportunities for team members, including cadets and interns, as a pipeline area for MAIS-Q future workforce, whilst developing and maintaining a safe, secure and positive work environment for all.

Ensure all necessary business services roles and responsibilities are implemented to achieve and ensure effective and efficient operational service delivery outcomes with consideration to Work Safety and Wellbeing and workplace rehabilitation and security needs.

Influence, advise and support senior management and the broader People, Culture and Communication team on strategic and operational matters with insights and analysis relating to business services risks, opportunities and support that enables MAIS-Q organisational objectives and delivery of outcomes to a range of stakeholders.

Represent MAIS-Q interests at inter-agency meetings and client relationships with external specialised service providers such as building managers and trades, ensuring tasks, activities and commitments are formulated, analysed and effectively communicated.

About you

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong commitment to shared values, and a broad skillset that includes:

  • Extensive experience developing and implementing business services work program, project delivery and evaluation.
  • Extensive experience in change management and a personal drive to continuous improvement and innovative practices.
  • Strong communication, coaching, mentoring and training skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Collaborative, autonomous, flexible and agile working style and approach.
  • Leadership and management experience commensurate with program leadership.
