About Us:
SMS Mining Services is a privately owned, West Australian based Mining Contractor. Founded in 2000, we have evolved from equipment rental to encompass maintenance and contract mining divisions.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Manager with a mining background to join our upcoming projects scheduled to come online in Q2/Q3 2024. You must have strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure operations are executed in line with contract and client requirements, whilst ensuring financial outcomes are maximized and risks are minimized
- Direct, manage and control manning activities
- Promote safety and environmental awareness to all employees
- Build strong internal and external customer focused culture and practices to deliver positive project results
- Build a competent, engaged and performance driven workforce and provide appropriate development opportunities to build internal capability
- Stay up to date with new technology and opportunities that improve production, quality, cost, safety and environmental performance
- Extensive experience in a senior mining leadership role, accompanied by a Quarry Manager Ticket or First-Class Mining Manager Ticket.
- Strong contract management experience with particular focus on effective delivery to clients.
- Ability to develop and manage project budgets.
- Demonstrating commitment to our safety culture and values.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Able to Pass Pre-Employment Medical Including Drug and Alcohol.
