RWDI is looking for a Business Development Representative to play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our business from our Sydney office. This critical role focuses on maintaining and broadening RWDI’s client relationships across Australia and beyond. The Business Development Representative collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on new opportunities. This role offers a blend of strategic thinking, relationship building, and a focus on promoting our expertise in building sciences, environmental engineering, and climate engineering.

What will you be doing?

  • Reaching out to new and prospective clients to introduce them to RWDIs exciting range of environmental and performance engineering services – services that can enhance and transform their projects and the environment.
  • Identifying and researching emerging markets and opportunities in sustainability and performance engineering.
  • Creating opportunities to discuss and promote RWDI’s specialist services and our value proposition.
  • Coordinating our resources, collaborating with our marketing, project management and technical specialists to support business development trips and face-to face meetings.
  • Managing and attending events that engage our team with clients and prospects, supporting presentations across casual social events to technical presentations by our leading experts at international conferences. Attend a diverse range of networking events representing the RWDI brand.
  • Following up events - compiling notes and summarising meetings and trips, including tracking in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, and synthesising this information into business development strategy and actions.
  • Maintaining client relationships through regular conversations and support, monitoring proposal activity by client and key relationship to identify clients with the greatest potential for future growth.
  • Learning from and collaborating with our Strategic Directors and our Marketing Communications team to expand and enhance our regional marketing material.

Please apply if you have: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in a marketing or business development role.
  • Exceptional social, collaborative, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deliver on commitments and exceed expectations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet tight deadlines and accommodate clients and colleagues in varying time zones. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in graphic design production would be an asset but not essential.
