OVERVIEW

The Junior Data Analyst is a brand new position and is responsible for supporting the identification and visualisation of insights from the MOVE audience measurement data and supporting the BAU maintenance of data systems and tools.
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the MOVE2 Lead, and MOVE team, to support the delivery and management of the Australian Out of Home (OOH) Industry’s new Audience Measurement System.
The MOVE team works closely with the Outdoor Media Association (OMA), the peak industry body and is located in the same premises.
This role has two key focuses:
1. Conduct analysis of audience data to deliver insights that help the team develop education and marketing to market
2. Creation of dashboards and tools across data sets and data models
THE CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
• Develop a thorough understanding of OOH audience measurement and its role in the OOH and wider media ecosystems
• Aid in investigating new or updated data sources and analysis frameworks for the team to deliver insights
• Completing ad-hoc analysis of current and new datasets for small and large scale projects
• Support in the ETL and analysis of large datasets, whilst upskilling in technical skills where necessary
• Support in the creation of dashboards and mapping tools for varying datasets to be cross-tabulated and visualised through Tableau or Power BI
• Use python and other coding languages for small scale projects and support
• Support the development and testing of software enhancements where required
• Support various innovation and BAU data initiatives under the directive of senior members of the team
• Master the current ETL processes and manage the foundational databases for all insights frameworks and tools
• Support and collaborate with members and key stakeholders on queries and projects
• Provide education and support to members on audience analysis
• Actively comply with and promote the OMA Code of Ethics and safe work practices

• Experience with data analysis using Excel formulas and/or other analytics tools
• Exposure to coding and ETL practices
• Experience with data visualisation; Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Clear communicator with commonsense
• Demonstrated skills and experience in a support role
• Administrative support experience, showcasing the ability to manage tasks and coordinate information
• Technically savvy with a passion for new technology, new thinking
• Strong team player able to pitch in and help when needed
WHO WE ARE
MOVE is the Out of Home (OOH) industry audience measurement system funded by members of the OMA. It is available through a license for use by the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) Members and Media Agencies.
The OMA is an incorporated, not-for-profit industry body with a current membership of 50 full-time members. Members include the JCDecaux, oOh Media and QMS Media. Membership of the OMA is governed by its Constitution and Code of Ethics which are available at www.oma.org.au
