Join our Operational Risk Team in Sydney and play a key role in supporting the Macquarie Capital team on the management of material risks and deliver oversight, challenge and insights on their risk profile.

As an Analyst/Senior Analyst, you will support the independent Operational Risk oversight and challenge for the Macquarie Capital business globally.
You will partner and with support the business and Line 1 Risk Teams by ensuring processes are adequately assessed to identify potential risk causes, and controls are effectively designed and operated to mitigate a failure in people, processes or systems.

• Prior experience in Operational Risk, Internal and/or External Audit gained within a financial institution and/or professional services firm.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders and build effective working relationships
• Project management and organisational skills
• Attention to detail, with a positive and constructive approach to problem solving
• Ability to manage competing priorities whilst working both autonomously and collaboratively.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
