Position: Commercial Credit Analyst - Operations
Are you a Commercial Analyst looking to transition into an Operational role? Here's your chance to work closely with the Managing Director in a fast-growing lending and finance business.
About the Role
- Location: Hybrid (WFH 3-4 days per week) - Bondi Junction/Waverley, relocating to CBD by the end of 2024.
- Company: Award-winning finance firm in East Sydney specialising in commercial and residential finance.
We are on the lookout for a motivated Commercial Credit Analyst or Assistant Relationship Manager (Credit) to support our growth. This role is perfect for someone with experience in commercial credit, eager to step up and drive operational excellence, manage a small team of analysts and brokers.
Must have Permanent Residency.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Interact with new and existing clients throughout the lending cycle.
- Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of onshore and offshore employees.
- Operations & Compliance: Oversee loan processing and documentation for new applications.
- Credit Origination: Prepare and discuss applications with Finance Brokers/Lenders.
- Product Research: Collaborate with Finance Brokers to recommend lending and banking products.
- Customer Service: Deliver industry-leading communication and service.
- Retention: Assist with post-settlement activities and annual reviews to meet retention targets.
- Projects: Support the Director with various projects and research to drive business growth.
- Support: Provide essential support to the director to enhance brokerage growth.
Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of experience as a Commercial/Business Banker or Credit Analyst within a major bank or Brokerage.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for high-value client interaction.
- Attention to detail in researching lending policies, processing applications, and maintaining professionalism.
- In-depth understanding of lending practices, loan structures, lenders, and processes.
- Excellent time management skills, capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in interpreting financial statements, tax returns, and business structures.
- Strong computer literacy, with experience in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Salestrekker software is a plus.
- Work leading residential and commercial finance brokerages.
