Allen & Unwin, Australia’s leading independent book publisher, is seeking a Production Co-ordinator.

This busy, full-time role manages a wide range of titles for A&U.

Duties include:

  • preparing costings and schedules
  • ensuring high standards of quality
  • resolving technical issues
  • overseeing international shipping and delivery to warehouse
  • liaising with printers, typesetters and freight forwarders, as well as in-house departments
  • processing invoices and carrying out administrative tasks associated with the Production Department.

The successful candidate will have:

  • demonstrated book production experience, including print and pre-press knowledge
  • the ability to multi-task and problem-solve
  • excellent communication and administrative skills
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat skills, and a willingness to learn new software.
