This is an exciting opportunity to join a small well backed and funded business with strong growth plans and opportunities. Proudly Australian owned and a pioneer in the industry dedicated to ongoing R&D for the 4WD market, the business is the leader for research, development and manufacturing of cutting-edge 4WD engine and transmission conversion kits. With a rich history the products have gained recognition worldwide, with the export market covering numerous countries from the U.S.A. South Africa, New Zealand, Indonesia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and many parts of Europe.
In addition to managing a small team including the workshop, the focus of the role is to grow revenue, maximise the efficiency of the workshop and further develop the distribution network of partners across Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the US (East, Central and West).
You are likely to be Senior Manager level and seeking a General Manager role combined with a mix of sales/marketing and operationally focused experience in the Automotive sector (4WD experience is not critical). You will previously have led a profitable branch and ideally be seasoned in retail, new product development/revenue and running workshops. R&D experience will be a bonus. The successful candidate will be able to fit into a family culture and be customer engaged and outwardly focused. You will have previous experience working in the automotive parts or conversion market with experience gained in: - retail, manufacturing and distribution, workshops etc. You will bring a solid understanding and relationships with distributors and supplier networks in the sector.
Please note some sporadic travel will be required e.g. to attend global conferences.
