The position will be affiliated with the Max Perutz Labs located at the Vienna BioCenter, one of Europe’s hotspots for the Life Sciences. The Max Perutz Labs are a research institute established by the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna to provide an environment for excellent, internationally recognized research and education in the field of Molecular Biology. Dedicated to a mechanistic understanding of fundamental biomedical processes, scientists at the Max Perutz Labs aim to link breakthroughs in basic research to advances in human health.

**Job Summary**:
The Vienna BioCenter PhD Program Academic Affairs Manager will be responsible for coordinating university administration within the PhD Program. The position is initially limited to 12 months, with the option of extension.

**The responsibilities of this position include**:

- Graduation management including PhD thesis reviewer assignment and processing PhD degree documents
- Budget monitoring
- Program data management, including research publications
- Support of program activities including events, retreats, symposia, training courses and a new Alumni Program

**Profile**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in project administration and/or management
- Proficiency in English and German required
- Higher education in the life sciences (beneficial, but not strictly required)

Fair salary: The basic salary of EUR 2.958,90. Prior work experience may be taken into account.
