Regional Health & Safety Manager - Data Centres - Permanent - Austria

Are you a Safety Manager / Senior safety professional looking for your next permanent role? Our client, one of the top 4 hyperscale data centre providers across the globe, needs the expertise of a Safety Manager for their current European projects.

With a global footprint over 5 continents and 60 countries, this is an exciting opportunity to join a truly international organisation responsible for providing some of the world’s most recognisable scalable data centres. This forward-thinking data centre provider has plans to double the number of facilities in the EMEA region by 2025.

This is an opportunity for you to work client-side with an ambitious organisation in the data centre market.

**Safety Manager Responsibilities**:
Communicate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. To implement, maintain and improve health and safety management across the region
Implement and maintain frameworks to support and enhance the health and safety management
Be the point of contact for safety on site
Responsible for approving risk assessments, method statements, reviewing permits with construction teams
Perform safety inductions, daily walk rounds
Compile weekly reports
Manage observation trackers
Deliver toolbox training and company policies are adhered to
Present to project teams (HSE meetings in English and German)
Keep the contractors organised

**About you**:
Previous experience in an HSE role
Experience within mission critical projects (Data Centre, Pharma, Oil & Gas)
A recognized safety qualification (diploma level or equivalent) / Degree level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
Experience and accredited to audit ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ideally other industry standards, e.g. ISO 9001
Proven track record of managing Health & Safety functions across multiple locations
Demonstrable ability to implement new frameworks, policies and procedures
Willingness to travel frequently when required
