**Introduction**
IBM Tax is seeking an experienced tax professional with a minimum of 10 years of corporate income tax experience. CPA (or its equivalent) degree is a plus. The role supports Global Tax Controversy executive sresponsible for managing global tax audits & litigation. Responsibilities include IBM data collection & analysis and preparation of responses to external audit requests. The ability to communicate advanced corporate tax concepts to executive management and external stakeholders is necessary. Also, working knowledge of IBM accounting systems is a plus.

**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- Preparation, planning and coordination of responses to information document requests, due diligence requests, and other similar inquiries from tax authorities
- communication with local teams such as Accounting, Treasury, Advisory partners and other functions
- preparation ofpresentations on various tax issues to tax authorities
- data collection and data analysis
- audit status reporting and tracking
- building a knowledge base of the Team to secure consistency during audits
- ability to communicate accounting concepts and data analysis outcome to senior management and external stakeholders
- preparation of a strategy for audit readiness
- implementation and execution of organizational processes to help the Tax Controversy Team meet its goal of continuous process improvements related to the team’s objectives.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Tax
- 10 years of experience at a public accounting firm with a heavy focus on corporate income taxation, litigation, including current or recent hands-on tax compliance work experience with a Regional or National accounting firm
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with firm deadlines in a high growth, fast-paced, hands-on environment
- High level of integrity and accountability. Takes initiative and is responsible to see projects and/or tasks through until completion

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- IBM Accounting Systems knowledge
- CPA (or its equivalent)
- Master’s degree in Tax
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
- Master of Laws (LL.M.)
