As shareholders, capital markets and customers, as well as regulation, put increasing pressure on companies to put their core business on a low-carbon and sustainable path, A1 Group has developed an ambitious ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy and set the course with its climate vision to reduce carbon emissions and become net zero by 2030. To be able to implement this strategy and fulfill our self-promise, we are looking for an ambitious, motivated environmental expert to drive A1 Group towards a low-carbon company and business.

**What you do**
- You drive the group-wide sustainability transformation and take responsibility for it.
- You work closely with various stakeholders, such as executives, employees, customers, suppliers to ensure buy-in and alignment with our sustainability vision „Empowering a Sustainable Future“.
- You advise cross-functional teams to drive change and embed sustainability into all aspects of the business, such as operations, supply chain, product design, marketing, and communication.
- You analyze our existing practices and identify areas for improvement in terms of environmental impact, social responsibility, and long-term economic viability.
- You develop and implement strategies, policies, and programs to achieve sustainability goals, such as reducing carbon emissions, increasing resource efficiency, or promoting social inclusion.
- You keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sustainability, and you leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
- You advocate for sustainability and social responsibility in external forums, such as industry associations, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.

- Analytical skills: the ability to gather, analyze and interpret complex data related to sustainability performance and trends, and to use this information to make informed decisions.
- Expert knowledge: a solid understanding of sustainability issues and best practices related to energy, water, waste, biodiversity, social equity, and other sustainability topics.
- Your German and English skills are excellent.
- Profound MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint are key.

The minimum annual gross salary for this position according to the current collective agreement is EUR 50.000,-. The actual annual salary depends on your skills and experience.
