As a leading research organisation in the area of wood and wood-related renewable resources in Europe, the Kompetenzzentrum Holz GmbH (Wood K plus) provides research and development services for the industry in the field of wood composite materials and wood chemistry.

In cooperation with company and scientific partners, the team “Wood Composites & Digital Transformation” - located at the area Wood Materials and Technologies in Tulln - is looking for a:
**Junior researcher for a dissertation in data science for wood tracing (PhD) (f/m/d)**:
Our team conducts research within the field of wood composites research and in the digitisation of production processes of wood and engineered wood products.

**Your responsibility**:

- Design, implementation and evaluation of experiments
- Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and at international scientific conferences

**Your qualification**:

- University degree (master’s, diploma), preferably in Statistics, Engineering, Technical Mathematics, IT or Wood Science
- First experiences in data science
- Experience with code development (e.g. Python, MATLAB, R, C++, etc.)
- Good knowledge in spoken and written English
