Professional kind nanny needed for VIP family in beautiful central Vienna (Wien) Austria to start in September, for long term. Nanny should be fluent in either English or German. Both of these languages are spoken within the family.

Family has 2 young daughters aged 1.5y & 3y and the position is a mix of sole and shared care, as mum works from home. Nanny must have experience with 1- 5 year olds.

All normal nursery duties.

The family travels frequently. Nanny needs to have experience of organising and packing suitcases and travelling with the family. Most travel will be within Europe and is for shortish periods, including Switzerland and Greece. They seek a nanny who enjoys travel and is organised.

Working hours and days:
1.30pm - 7.30pm (6h/day from Mon-Fri plus some help over two weekends per month and up to three flexible babysitting nights/week).

Weekend help could be anything from a few hours to maximum 10 - if they are away for the weekend, with you.

Up to 3 evenings babysitting. Occasional proxy parenting.

Nanny can live in or live out (if living relatively close by) They offer a private separate studio apartment a short 2 minute walk away.

On nights when you babysit you are welcome to stay and sleep over in their flat and use the guest bedroom - you can go to bed, you dont need to stay up.

Babysitting is often just bringing children to bed when mum is stuck on work calls. Other nights its babysitting when we go to dinner (so 7-11pm).

Start date is early January.

The family also employs a full time housekeeper, who can help support the nanny on occasion, if required.

All dates, babysitting and any weekend working hours are discussed and planned in advance so that nanny can also make her own private plans with no problem.

Must have sufficient previous experience of looking after at least 2 children sole charge.

Salary depends on nannys skills and experience. They offer your own separate apartment in beautiful central Vienna. They are looking to pay €2,500 to €3,500 gross per month, which reflects that they dont need many hours as both girls are at Kindergarten every day from 8.30am until 2pm and 3.30pm.

Family is interviewing now and will arrange a trial so that nanny gets to see the daily routine etc.

Fully checkable references is essential.

EU passport or already have right to work in Austria.

Educated

Up to date clean criminal background check/ police check/

3 checkable relevant nanny/childcare references, for most recent positions.

Paediatric first aid

Good amount of experience with young children

Caring, fun, lots of initiative and energy

This is a strictly no smoking position
