**Your personal sphere of play**:
The Institute of Biological Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry announces a replacement position for a senior scientist on the topic of developing chemical tools for investigating microbial interactions at the research group Microbial Biochemistry, Böttcher Lab. The position is to be filled for the duration of an employee's absence. An extension beyond this period is considered depending on availability.

**Your future tasks**:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
Design and synthesis of microbial natural product
- s Supporting diverse projects in chemical biolog
- y Planning of complex multistep organic syntheses of biologically active compound
- s Target identification and/or natural product isolation and inhibitor discover
- y Presentation of research reports, manuscripts for publications and oral presentation
- s Holding courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreemen
- t Supervision and training of students and staff member
- s

**This is part of your personality**: Completed doctoral/PhD studies in chemistry, life sciences, or biochemistr
- y Outstanding dissertatio
- n Research competence and initiative proven through international publications in peer-relevant medi
