**at **the **Faculty of Mathematics**

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
The advertised senior scientist position is associated with the chair for Computational Science of Univ.Prof. Dr.
- Initially 4 years with the option to an unlimited duration.
We are looking for a highly qualified researcher with special interests in the development of novel mathematical models and algorithms for ultrasound imaging and for processing and evaluation of ultrasound images.
The job holder's responsibilities include participation in the "Christian Doppler Labor for mathematical modeling and simulation for the next generation of ultrasound devices
(MaMSi)", independent research in inverse problems and mathematical image processing, and
holding classes due to extent regulations of wage agreement and the
usual administrative duties and the willingness to supervise
students at all levels.
**Profile**:
A Doctoral degree / PhD in mathematics is required. Expertise in research in the area of mathematical image processing and tomography or inverse problems is required. Skills and experience in independent teaching, research as well as in administration
are required. Past and ongoing research should be documented by publications in recognized scientific journals. Experience in interdisciplinary research is highly appreciated.
