**Your role**:

- Management of the OMV IPR Department: people, finances, output (quality, efficiency, responsiveness)
- Ensure state of the art and sustainable IPR competence is always available to address OMV needs.
- Own, define and implement IPR strategies in alignment with all OMV business division strategies, the licensing business and the Innovation & Technology strategy.
- Own, define and implement processes to ensure IPR is protected in all external publications and in all contracts and agreements.
- Ensure adequate and sustainable IPR competence is always available to support OMV needs
- Own, define and implement processes to ensure IPR is protected during and resulting from all Merger and Acquisition activities.
- Maintain relationships with external providers of IPR resource and use as necessary to complement in-house capability
- You ensure that IPR obligations of OMV as a Licensor are met.
- You ensure that OMV is represented appropriately at IPR professional forums

**Your profile**:

- You have a Master's Degree/PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- You have minimum 15 years experience in the Petrochemical industry
- EQE (European Patent Attorney) qualification
- Leadership experience for international & multicultural teams
- Strong affinity to business/use of technology position and IPR for business growth.
- Ability to act as sparring partner for business, licensing and Group Strategy.
- An understanding of IPR/patenting and/or technology licensing activities
- Ability to communicate clearly across all levels and disciplines and to all stakeholders in OMV and its partners
- Energizing and Inspirational leadership style
- Fluency in English and German
