If so, the position of a Senior Lecturer might be an ideal position, as you play a key role in educating and training students.Together with a dedicated team of teachers, you significantly contribute to a successful education. In addition to a well-founded scientific education, motivating students to develop an inquisitive attitude to lay a solid foundation for future professional challenges is particularly important to us.

**Your workplace**:
The Department of Functional and Evolutionary Ecology is part of the Faculty of Life Sciences. It is active in both research and teaching in the field of ecology (incl. teacher's education). You will be member of a research and teaching team with a focus on biodiversity, symbioses, metabolic pathways, ecophysiology and ecosystem functioning with a special focus on global change. The teaching area covers autecological aspects of single species to ecosystems. As a Senior Lecturer, your teaching responsibilities will be mainly in aquatic ecology. We are looking for people who consider a university teaching position as an interesting and highly rewarding career option.

- Master's or diploma degree in ecology, zoology or conservation biology and biodiversity management (ideally with a focus on freshwater biology/evertebrates)
- Several years of independent teaching at a post-secondary educational institution
- Didactic competences (incl. blended learning)
- IT user skills (MS Office)
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- You should be a team player with high social skills
