In this role, you will be an **advocate for data and act as an internal consultant **for a variety of different teams. While working closely with our Growth team, you** help build a data warehouse. **By crafting **dashboards/reports and guiding data-based decision-making,** you contribute impactfully to our** mission of democratizing visual AI.**

**Your tasks**:

- Be an **advocate for data **and act as an **internal consultant**, empowering your partners to make **data-driven decisions** throughout the whole company.
- Make** data accessible **by using **Snowflake** as a DWH, **Airflow** as an ETL tool, and **Looker** as a BI/reporting tool.
- **Drive data analytics** in Kaleido by building **data visualizations** in order to create clarity and **help track metrics and KPIs.**:

- Work with internal and external collaborators to deliver concrete** insights on the performance of Kaleido’s products **as well as** selected Canva features.**:

- Consult **stakeholders** like Product Owners & Engineers, Finance & Ops, Marketing, and also our Leadership team and **provide data insights **for e.g. **pricing models **as well as** product roadmap decisions.**:

- Make recommendations to **find the right metrics to look at.** Based on** understanding the data needs,** translate them into more** technical requirements** and hand them over to our **(Data) Engineers.**:

- Own **data transformation code **and ensure quality and accuracy of insights generated.
- Assist product teams in** evaluating feature performance and conducting A/B tests.**:

- Perform** data quality assessments,** help build **data awareness** and **communicate findings** in an efficient manner.

**Requirements**:

- At least **3 years of significant experience in Data Analytics** at a tech company (ideally SaaS). You know your way around** building data analytics from an early stage** and you **prefer crafting things on the way **rather than walking into a ready-made position.
- Finished university degree and/or any other educational **background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.**:

- Technical requirements: Advanced knowledge of **SQL, Excel, or Google Sheets** as well as a good understanding/command of **Python** (to safely make ETL pipeline adaptations),** relational databases, **and **cloud data warehousing.**:

- You know your way around** BI/Data Visualization, and reporting tools **(we use Looker). **Reports & visualization are your turfs** (based on knowledge about database concepts and how to write queries in an efficient way).
- **Understanding of A/B testing **(Goal setup, significance levels, and analysis), as well as product KPIs and metrics to **track at a high-growth SaaS company.**:

- Ability to **communicate sophisticated things in a simple way, **to engineers as well as to business stakeholders.
- **Ability to speak to decision-makers **who may only have a vague idea of what they want to achieve with data, digest that information, and create reports/dashboards/insights that fulfill the underlying needs.
