**Your duties**:

- Undertaking individual research and contributing to collaborative research into the second language acquisition and first language attrition of speech.
- Teaching courses on B.A. level (teaching degree/bachelor´s programme English Studies/American Studies, 4 hours/week), holding examinations and (assisting with the) supervision of students and bachelor theses
- Supporting the head and section (applied linguistics)
- General organizational and administrative duties and evaluative measures

**Your Profile**:

- Doctoral degree in Phonetics with a research record in second language acquisition and first language attrition in the phonetic domain
- Research background in acoustic phonetics /// extensive experience with speech analysis software (at a minimum Praat and WebMaus), advanced skills in larger-scale speech database management, in (re-)synthesis of speech stimuli with manipulations of segmental and suprasegmental properties, in perception test tools, and in advanced statistical analysis methods in R
- An outstanding academic record (at a minimum 5 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals, with at least 2 of them first-authored)
- Experience teaching B.A. courses in Phonetics, evidence-based quantitative research methods, and English linguistics; good teaching evaluations
- Experience supervising and mentoring B.A. and M.A. students
- Native speaker of German and (near-)native speaker of English (ability to teach in English)
- Ability to work independently and reliably

- The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 60.926,60 gross/year (for full-time employment). This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.**Additional comments**
