**Our group**:
The **Elling Lab at IMBA Vienna** is searching for a technical assistant to support our team. The group is specialized on various modalities of genetic screening, foremost CRISPR/Cas9 screens. To this end, the lab applies CRISPR/Cas9 technologies, but also performs method development. The current focus is on genetic screening in vivo, where we have developed a new screening paradigm.
The position will be at the forefront of scientific discovery and offers a wide range of experimental methods. CRISPR screening has revolutionized interrogation of gene function in various assays. However, genome wide screens at high resolution remain limited to simple 2D cell culture models, as in some scenarios with bottlenecks high-throughput screening are still challenging. We have recently developed methods that empower screening also in complex model systems, foremost in vivo. We are seeking for a technical assistant who is motivated to to further develop this new CRISPR-screening modality in close collaboration with team members.
**Your profile**:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Molecular Biology and experience in standard lab techniques such as RNA- and DNA-purification, PCR, molecular cloning as well as standard cell culture
- Experience in handling mice (optional)
- Ability to work comfortable and eager in a team
- Fluency in English
