We are excited to announce a new, available role at our headquarters in Vienna, Austria - **Head of M&A Legal and Corporate**

The future incumbent will serve as a primary point of contact for the Strategy & Group Development Department and advice on M&A activities of the Borealis Group, and will report to the General Counsel. **As a Head of M&A Legal and Corporate, you will be...**:

- Acting as a primary point of contact for the Strategy & Group Development Department independently or in alignment with the General Counsel.
- Advising and providing legal support in projects and transactions. Legal core areas include M&A, corporate law, commercial law, competition law, finance, tax and capital markets law.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating any contracts related to M&A activities of the Borealis Group.
- Advising on regulatory aspects of M&A activities, including merger filings and competition law
- Defining and steering the legal due diligence process in acquisitions, JVs and divestments to ascertain Borealis’ proper protection.
- Managing outside counsels ensuring that Borealis’ standards and goals are safeguarded and met.
- Assisting the senior management and business in forming and implementing strategic and commercials goals.
- Leading, coaching and developing an effective and motivated multicultural team, ensuring that it is organised, staffed and skilled appropriately (including recruitment and retention of professionals and paraprofessionals).
- Identifying training needs to overcome gaps and actively develop talent.
- Acting as “Ethics Ambassador” and train Borealis employees on a regular basis on ethics topics.
