We are looking for an **R**are Disease** Business Unit Manager **Alps & Benelux** who is a passionate leader with a great sense of responsibility who likes to be part of changing the patient journey of specific rare disease populations, to come join our ABN (Alps, Benelux, Nordic) Rare Disease Team, to be based in** **the Benelux or Alps (CH & AT)**.**
**About the role**
As the RDO (rare disease organization) Business Unit Manager for the Alps & Benelux team, you will through strong leadership develop a spirit of shared responsibility and ensure cross-functional alignment in order to achieve the objectives set. You will lead a team of rare leads driving in-field execution excellence to establish leading market position in the relevant patient population/segments. In addition to the sales management, you will be the Alps & Benelux marketing responsible, co-creating and implementing key global/EU/local marketing campaigns for disease awareness, promotional campaign, events & training to support launch success.
**Who you will work with**:
You are part of the cross-functional RDO Leadership Team in the corresponding Area and partner with marketing, medical affairs, market access, ethics & compliance, finance, operational excellence, QA, regulatory, safety and supply to coordinate all operational activities and achieve value objectives for patients and for UCB.
**What will you do**:
- Lead, coach, train and develop your team of Regional Rare Disease Leads, ensuring that individual competencies are at the required level. Ensure updated training on science, patient findings, UCB products, etc. and partner with the Medical Affairs Strategy Lead, Learning & Development and other relevant functions to achieve this goal
- You are responsible for the assigned annual operating expenses (Marketing and Sales) and the national sales. And you are a key contributor to the national and regional forecast and provides input into his/her team annual incentive scheme
- Establishing long-term partnership with various ecosystem stakeholders of the relevant health ecosystem
- Driving the creation of the patient value brand plan (PVBP) for the RDO portfolio within an Area and all the relevant marketing tactics
- Driving in-field execution excellence with their teams in line with the local PVBP (Plans and strategies/tactics)
- Securing and maintaining optimal access to UCB products portfolio
- Achieving sales target and establishing leading market position in the relevant patient population/segments
- Promoting growth, sustainability, and profitability of the products portfolio (franchise)
- Play an active part in the local Digital Business Transformation (DBT) team (e.g., Digital Assistant, Advanced Analytics, Omnichannel Customer Journey, Personal Segmentation)
- You are also responsible for providing the best and updated tools to your team to perform at the highest level, including coaching, training, reporting, CRM, etc.
- You will ensure that your team acts according to the strictest scientific, ethical, compliance and quality standards, respecting the UCB code of conduct and pharmaceutical industry guidelines.

**I**nterested?** **For this position you’ll need the following** **education, experience **and **skills**:
- University degree in business administration, pharmacy, or natural sciences
- At least 5 years of experience in management of a sales team and direct experience in sales as well as solids marketing foundation
- Recent experience of launching products in rare diseases
- Innovative mindset, with a passion for making an impact on patients
- Leadership experience: people manager with commitment and motivation and ability to inspire teams
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Strong ability to analyze, plan, develop and execute strategic/tactical plans
- Languages: English
