AT&S industrialises leading-edge technologies for its core business segments Mobile Devices & Substrates, Automotive, Industrial and Medical. AT&S has a global presence with production sites in Austria (Leoben, Fehring) and plants in India (Nanjangud), China (Shanghai, Chongqing) and Korea (Ansan near Seoul). A new high-end production facility for IC Substrates is currently being built in Kulim, Malaysia. The company employs circa 12,500 people.

**Global Lab Specialist (UL) (M/F/d)**:
As Global Lab Specialist (UL), you will be responsible for the coordination of all required UL testing within AT&S. You will therefore be in close contact with all internal UL projects to ensure proper planning for financial, technical and logístical topics. Furthermore, you will be the contact person for Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to organize the external testing and participate in technical workgroups and panels to represent AT&S interests. Additionally, you will be the knowledge carrier with respect to UL testing and the interpretation of test results and will take over the strategic planning of further UL capability improvement.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Coordination of UL projects with AT&S involving coordination of UL projects globally, managing internal and external UL test planning, samples, results, etc. including escalation and be the UL-contact for financial, technical and logístical topics
- Align internal test capacities (pre-tests) and external test capacities
- Development of UL strategy (e.g. test capacities, automation, accreditation, full recognition) and development and improvement of UL process
- Improvement of UL testing capabilities and test quality
- Be the first point of contact in AT&S for technical UL questions with deep knowledge and understanding of UL 94 (UL Standard for Safety for Tests for Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances) and UL 796 (UL Standard for Printed Wiring Boards)
- Bring in UL expertise (understanding and interpretation of UL results, recommendations, impact factors evaluation)
- Contact to Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to organize the external testing.
- Participation in technical workgroups and panels of UL.
- Consulting of the quality management for headcount, budget, and development matters.
- Support of the quality management for customer/public relations and external laboratory cooperation.
- Contact person to other quality functions for UL related topics

**Your Profile**:

- Technical education (e.g. HTL plus 5 years’ experience or Master in Material science) in Physics or similar
- Advanced knowledge in Material Science
- Experience in laboratories and PCB industry preferred
- Experience in quality standards and management systems
- UL experience preferred
- Laboratory experience
- Statistical know-how (advanced)
- Basic IT knowledge (office software, statistical software, databases)
- Experience with virtual teams
- Resilient and self-driven personality with strong communicational skills and structured work style
- Good team player with an integrated and interdisciplinary way of thinking and acting
- Social skills (teamwork, experience with virtual teams)
- Experience in project management
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Fluency in English

Our salary packages are competitive, take individual qualifications, and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labor agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 48.000- Euro.
