As a part of Daily Banking Services, our Payments Services and Clearing Unit is the Group Central Hub responsible for clearing and settlement of Erste Group payments providing the national and international reach to Erste Group members, savings banks, and foreign subsidiaries.

We manage the network relationship with clearing houses and are responsible to steer all payments and settlement relevant operations at Erste Group. Our unit develops the Group payments strategy toward digitalization in cooperation with business stakeholders, compliance, and IT. We represent Erste Group in national and international bodies and participate in industry working groups. Our unit also acts as the regulatory SPOC for payments towards all internal departments across Erste Group, the supervisor, and auditors. **Your Tasks**:

- Manage a team of highly committed and experienced payments clearing specialists, provide leadership, guidance, and support
- Promote a value-oriented corporate culture of diversity
- Manage and control the budget and resource planning
- Drive Group Payments Clearing Strategy with Group Members, Business and IT
- Work closely with other departments, such as Corporate, Markets, Retail, Product Management, IT, Compliance etc., to ensure exceptional customer experience and compliancy
- Manage service providers for outsourced payments serviced
- Assure quality of services, improve efficiency and reduce costs of payments operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in payments processing and clearing, and make recommendations for improvements in technology and operations
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and share best practices between Group members, and industry peers
- Manage network mngt. SLAs, develop and implement policies and procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor and manage risks associated with payments clearing, including fraud and operational risks
- Represent the organization in national and international bodies related to payments clearing, including advocating for the organization's interests and participating in the development of industry standards and regulations

**Your Background**:

- University degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in payments or related field, with a strong understanding of payments technology, operations and market trends
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a multi cultural team of payment specialists
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliancy related to payment processing
- Experience with managing a group functions based on a hub and spoke model
- Experience in representation in national and international bodies
- Excellent English and preferably excellent German language skills
