As a Junior Quantitative Analyst you will have the opportunity to expand your expertise and explore the energy business guided by experienced professionals. You will work in close collaboration with the Short Term Optimization Team Lead to ensure that power optimization strategies are running properly in order to create PnL and support origination development. **What you will do**:

- Develop new optimization strategies in collaboration with the Short Term Optimization Team Lead
- Propose new ideas for development of new products for power (Intraday, Day Ahead, Week Ahead) in the different countries (FR, BE, NL, AT,CZ, SK, HU, GR)
- Support setting up gas algo activities
- Carry out back testing of strategies and analyze performance
- Ensure integrity and security of data & systems
- Ensure proper reporting of PnL & risk metrics
- Work closely with MO, BO for setting up booking concept of new products

**What you bring & who you are**

- You are a team player with strong analytical skills and a problem solving attitude
- You have knowledge and/or experience with Python and SQL
- You are able to communicate complex and technical topics in a clear manner, and you are comfortable with Trading/Finance concepts
- You have knowledge of the Energy business
- You are fluent in English
