**Job Description**:
**What you’ll be doing**:
As General Ledger Accountant, you will be part of the broader accounting/finance team in our HQ being responsible to liaise with diverse stakeholders in DO&CO to ensure our group of companies accounting information practice are accurately reflected. precise preparation and verification of financial data, general ledger entries and financial statement reconciliation. You will be great support of the accounting department in the HQ supporting monthly and annual closing processes, journal entries and general finance duties.

**Qualifications**:
**A day as a General Ledger Accountant**:

- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of several Austrian companies, some of them with foreign reference
- Responsible for the preparation of notes and publication documents for the respective individual financial statements
- Comprehensive monthly group reporting including all related evaluations
- Act as first point of contact for accounting topics and tax issues while liaising with third parties external consultants in different matter (tax advisors, lawyers and auditors)
- Support and cooperation in consolidations and (intercompany) reconciliations
- Active participation in various (inter)national projects
- Proactive involvement in process optimization projects

**Who you are**:

- At least 5 years of experience working in financial accounting (GL Accounting)
- Accounting exam desirable (Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Structured, independent approach to work as well as solution-oriented, analytical thinking and strong negotiation skills
- VAT knowledge is desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with various stakeholders
- Good level of German and English
- Experience with BMD and Navision 17 would be beneficial
