**EN-DR-03**: Train Architecture Manager (TAM)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Accountable for the train physical architecture perimeter (including electrical, pneumatic,), and its integration.

Has design authority to assess sub-system activity compatibility with the constraints of her/his perimeter.

Ensures Sub-Systems coordination for all activities, deliverables and decisions related to her/his perimeter

Collaborates with other Train level managers and Chief of Development for all decisions not limited to her/his perimeter

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Accountable for

Train architecture definition, including style convergence with technical definition

Requirements derivation & verification

Design handover to Sub-system, design consolidation including digital mock-up structure

Industrial integration support

Corrective actions after FMR and type test, up to end of warranty

Personally, takes in charge (Responsible)

The management of the main layouts and the following expertise contributions: Lighting, passenger flow, ergonomic,

**Define**: train architecture, down to installation specification; Project Preferred Part List; transversal performances (Weight, Gauge, Ergonomic, Lighting, Passenger flow)

Asses SBS Design activities & deliverable constraints listed above

Agree the needed with other Train level managers, Development planer, Sub-System Manager, Train Design metier Domain leaders,

**Performance is measured vs**:
The added value in her/his perimeter and its re-usability for other developments:
Physical architecture performance (diversity, number of passengers, train weight per passenger,)

Digital mock-up up to date and compliance to rules

**management**: decision and dashboard relevance (including visibility of stress on transversal performances and volume allocation), anticipative animation (define consistent direction better than arbitrates according to tasks results)

**Activities & deliverables**: Clarity and consistency of specification to SBS; completion of intermediate BOMs

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

**Educational Requirements**:
**Mandatory**:
Graduated from Mechanical Engineering school with Master of Science degree

**Desirable**:
International / Multicultural background

Experience

**Mandatory**:
Mechanical integration at final product level for at least 5 years

Mechanical design in Transport Industry

**Desirable**:
Mechanical engineering preferably applied to railway products (3-4 years’ experience)

Knowledge and practice in design V cycle, design to cost and design to manufacturability
