**Your responsibilities**:

- Teaching and conducting examinations independently (the standard teaching load for this position is 5 units/week per semester (1 unit = 45 minutes of teaching).
- Teaching courses such as entrepreneurship, new venture creation, managing high growth firms; public policy and ecosystem development.
- Establishing relationships with stakeholders from the industry and developing a field of applied research related to the current and future challenges of the startup ecosystem.
- Contributing to the academic self-administration duties of the VIGS Institute.

**Your profile**:
**Required Qualifications**
- Doctorate in economics, business administration, management, or a related field within the social sciences.
- Evidence of research potential, preferably with a strong focus on new technologies like complexity science, network analysis or big data analytics.
- Profound knowledge of different research methods (qualitative and quantitative)
- Commitment to high quality teaching including experiential learning.
- Ability to teach courses in the field of entrepreneurship, innovation and related areas.
- Ability to attract external funding to support research programs and to successfully build collaborative research programs with other universities, research institutes and industry.
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills; proficiency in German language is welcome.
