In order to expand our team and ensure cost optimization in the area of Global Sourcing - Electronics, we are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for all strategic agendas for the Electronic Components product category. Your main tasks will include the strategic development of these product groups and the re-evaluation and further development of the supplier portfolio. **Your responsibilities**:

- Cost optimization for the main commodity groups/categories for which you are responsible (e.g. taking into account total costs of ownership, rate of turnover, delivery performance)
- Implementing professional supplier management (search, selection, classification, further development, implementation and risk assessment)
- Proactive market monitoring and analysis as well as escalation management
- Interface to R&D and the procurement market for evaluating new technologies or products
- Leadership of complex contract negotiations as well as professional contract management
- Risk and strategy management for the main commodity groups/categories for which you are responsible
- Data analysis, controlling and reporting
- Strategic cooperation with global ABB category teams for electronic components

**Your background**:

- Completed commercial and technical training (e.g. industrial engineering)
- Several years of professional experience in international purchasing
- Market knowledge and experience in the field of electronic components (semiconductors, embedded products, etc.) preferred
- Very good German and English skills
- Diplomatic and assertive personality with strong negotiation skills
- You have a hands-on mentality and enjoy a varied job with a high degree of personal responsibility
