**Your role**:

- Works with the business stakeholders to identify what the business requirements are and the expected outcome. Models and frames business scenarios that are meaningful and which impact on critical business processes and/or decisions.
- Identifies what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes such as smart meters and geo-location information or social media.
- Ensures that the information used follows the compliance, access management and control policies of the organization and that it meets the qualification and assurance requirements of the business.
- Works in iterative processes with the business and validates findings. Needs to be able to expose the rationale to findings in easy to understand terms and be prepared to present back results that contradict common belief.
- Includes experimental design approaches to validate findings by comparing appropriate samples.
- Suggests ongoing improvements to methods and algorithms that lead to findings, including new information.
- Understands the use and ability to employ the appropriate algorithm to discover patterns.
- Work with IT stakeholders to support data collection, integration and retention requirements based on the input collected with the business.
- Educates the organization both from IT and the business perspectives on these new approaches, such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of result.
- Performs large-scale experimentation and builds data-driven models to answer business questions
- Creates hypotheses and experiments to identify hidden relationships and construct new analytics methods
- Researches bleeding-edge techniques and tools in machine learning/deep learning/artificial intelligence

**Your profile**:

- University degree in Mathematics/Informatics / Business Informatics and at least 7 years of experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of business procedures and processes in respective area and latest technical trends / solutions
- Solid understanding of all the core elements within own discipline, good knowledge of the interdependencies and can manage interfaces with other disciplines
- Practical experience with advanced analytics tools and programming languages (e.g. Python/Scala/R)
- Practical cloud experience, Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure ML Services etc.) is preferred
- Solid understanding of data analysis and IT solution specification
- Familiar with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, HBase, Lucene/Solr)
- Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Microsoft PowerBI, QlikView/QlikSense etc.)
- Practical experience in leading the project of medium and small size including experience managing team of external consultants.
