The Metallic Systems group at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry - Functional Materials is a small, very dedicated team of 5 - 8 members. The research work is mainly experimental in the field of structure and thermochemistry of battery materials as well as thermal characterization of test cells. This position involves the preparation of a doctoral thesis. The position is advertised for 3 years, starting with a contract duration of 1,5 years which will automatically be extended to a duration of 3 years, unless the employer does submit a nonextension notification after 12 months.

A degree in chemistry or materials science, experience in synthesis and characterization of inorganic materials, interest in research, willingness to work and ability to work in a team. Experience in the synthesis of inorganic materials and their thermodynamic characterization. Experience with experimental methods such as calorimetry, X-ray structure analysis, thermal analysis (DTA, DSC, TG) and phase diagrams.
