Multiphase Cfd Simulation of Evaporation From

Evaporation of liquids from a porous structure is an area in which the combination of various physical effects plays an important role which is relevant in a variety of processes.

In order to be able to solve such processes by means of CFD, several physical effects must be taken into account:

- Transport in porous media
- Evaporation from porous media

The scope of this work is the simulation of such effects and the elaboration of various submodels in order to be able to generate an overall model of an e-cigarette. On the basis of this work, various data can be collected, which can subsequently be used to reduce the influence on the health of the end user.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge in fluid dynamics and modeling of physical/chemical processes
- Knowledge of CFD software (preferably OpenFoam)
- Interest in scientific development of different models for aerosol transport
- Good english skills
