**Responsibilities**:
In this role, you will ensure full Local GAAP, and IFRS as well as tax compliance for Global Blue countries in Austria and Switzerland. You will be in charge of a team of 3 Financial Accountants.
The main tasks of this position are the management and coordination of finance and accounting, ensuring correct and punctual closing, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations, and working with other finance departments to support the general departmental goals. Last but not least, you are expected to contribute to the further development of the team and share knowledge within Finance organization.
The Team Leader reports to Accounting Manager and the main responsibilities are:
- Responsibility for month/quarter/year-end closing activities- Submission of reporting package to Consolidation, including balance sheet and P&L review and delivery of comments on deviations- Support to Accounting Manager with the processing of statutory financial statements- Processing accounting entries in the Blackline interface, approval of accounting entries processed by team members- Control ownership and control preparatory role of assigned SOX controls- Support to Accounting Manager with financial and tax audits- Support to Accounting Manager with tax audits and responsible for the implementation of relevant tax changes- Technical and personal leadership of 3 FTEs
What you should offer- Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent education- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience within a multinational business in a SOX environment- Experience and proven knowledge of local GAAP is highly welcomed (AT/CH)- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations- Professional experience in a leadership role- Excellent analytical skills and process understanding- High resilience and Hands-On-Approach- Precise, structured, and success-oriented way of working- Customers focus on and understanding the business- Ability to identify problems and suggest workable solutions- Able to think ahead in order to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people
