The Director Internal Audit plays a vital role in leading Internal Audit & Internal Controls in Borealis for all locations to ensure meeting the mandates given by Audit Committee to safeguard Borealis’ assets, operations, business, interests and corporate identity in line with the approved international standards.

As Director Internal Audit you will:

- Steer Borealis’ audit and internal control activity across Borealis Business Groups and support functions, and provide assurance to the Board and management that internal controls are adequately designed and operating effectively,
- Develop Internal Audit strategy including assessment of internal controls, verification of the integrity of accounting and financial reporting systems, and identification of high risk areas through an assessment of performance and compliance for business processes, operations and projects.
- Prepare and coordinate a long-term audit plan for Borealis overall and for core areas based on unit and group risk landscapes, including overseeing execution
- Act as Content Owner of Audit (Supervisory Board) and Internal Audit Committee (ExB)
- Lead and develop a motivated team, ensuring that it is staffed and skilled appropriately by continuously driving the core values of company

**About you**:
You are able to exceed in this exciting role if you possess below competences, skills & attitudes:

- Master's degree or PhD from acknowledged university or equivalent.
- Min 10 years of relevant experience with a strong financial background
- Extensive international experience, both in terms of business and culture
- Recognised for having excellent people skills, including coaching & feedback and creating a motivated team culture
- Recognised for high level of integrity & trustworthiness
