The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises four Departments. The Developmental Psychology Unit in the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology focuses primarily on social-cognitive development in early childhood. Our methodological focus is on experimental and neuroscience research (e.g., eye tracking, EEG, fNIRS). We offer an excellent working environment including a well equipped lab with cutting-edge technology, international collaborations and substantial support for early-career researchers.

**Duration of employment**: 6 year/s

**Extent of Employment**: 40 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

The position entails active participation in research, teaching and administration. This involves
- Developing and strengthening your independent research profile
- Involvement in research projects of the group
- International publications and presentations
- Independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Supervision of students
- Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance
- Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration

**Profile**:

- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Doctoral degree/PhD degree
- Experimental research skills, especially collecting and analyzing EEG and fNIRS data in infants and children
- Programming skills (Matlab/ R/ Python)
- Experience in student supervision (Bachelor/ Master’s theses)
- Ability to work in a team and excellent communications skills
- strong interest in developmental psychology research
- engagement in Open Science.
