As the Chief Financial Officer - Austria, you will report to the Country President of AZ Austria and will be a member of the Senior Management Team. The CFO is responsible for leading the Austrian Finance organization consisting of direct reports of Finance Business Partner, the Financial Controller, Supply Business Partner, Supply Chain Coordinator. The role will have a dotted line reporting to the CFO of Western & Southern Europe Area as well as be in close contact with the AZ Finance Community and the Global Finance service centres.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Partners with Country President and Senior Management Team to support strategic implementation and ensure effective financial decision making, particularly around P&L management, investments, and resource allocation and optimisation. Generating innovative ideas based on synthesis of qualitative and quantitative information.
- Leads financial planning cycles (e.g. RBU, LTP, MTP) processes including: global market/regional guidance coordination, performance targets, presentation to senior stakeholders, and short and long-term financial strategy.
- Develops and implement appropriate systems for business plan preparation and documentation, sales, cost and capital expenditure budgeting, cost control and follow up/deviation analysis and explanation.
- Works in partnership with the business and other stakeholders to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
- Leadership of financial reporting including; development, consolidation, and delivery of monthly reporting. Providing financial insight and foresight to support the delivery of our strategic and commercial goals.
- Reviews reports to analyse projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improvements as appropriate.
- Coordinates the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, management reports, tax returns and reports for government regulatory agencies. Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca, local and state reporting requirements.
- Owns capital expenditure budgets, working capital management and cash flow optimization.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control processes in the frame of the company’s Financial Control Framework.
- Deliver accurate financial statements ensuring compliance with local legislation and global compliance framework. Oversee all transactions and processing systems. Liaise with external auditors and third party outsourced service providers.
- Support the delivery of distribution objectives and ensure best in class service in supply, distribution and handling customer queries. Support staff to deliver outstanding performance and customer service.
- Ensure delivery of Procurement strategy and activities to make sure that the acquisition of services to suppliers ensures the best “cost-value” ratios.
- Deliver cash management and cash targets relating to accounts receivable and accounts payable (e.g. DSO, WAPT)
- Implement and maintain appropriate business risk management strategies in accordance with AstraZeneca’s policies and oversee legal compliance requirements of AstraZeneca.

- Coaches and develops a team of finance professionals to excellent performance, creating a supportive work environment where everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
