The role of the **Social Content Creator / Editor** will have overall responsibility for ideating, capturing, and editing dynamic social-first content across platforms like TikTok, Meta, and YouTube. You will join a growing and thriving Melbourne team, where your deep expertise in social will allow you to intuitively create on-trend, engaging content that cuts through the noise and drives brand engagement. This role demands a proactive, creative, and social media-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. Day to day you’ll: - Develop and execute cutting-edge social-first content across key platforms, with an expert understanding of each platform’s nuances, audiences, and best practices. - Capture, edit, and produce high-quality social content that is visually compelling and on trend. - Edit short-form video and motion assets ensuring that all content is optimised for each social platform. - Monitor social media trends and innovations, refining content to stay at the forefront of the social landscape and being a social thought leader within the agency. - Analyse social media performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to enhance content strategy and drive engagement. - Manage multiple content projects across a number of clients, from ideation to delivery, ensuring quality and speed across platforms. - Ensure all content reflects the brand’s tone of voice and adheres to brand guidelines while still pushing creative boundaries. We are looking for someone with: - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). - Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in social media content creation, editing, and production, with an in-depth understanding of platform-specific strategies. - Expert knowledge of social platforms, algorithms, and content formats (TikTok, YouTube, Meta), and a keen awareness of emerging trends and tools. - Proficiency in native video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects an added plus) and ability to produce high-quality social-first video content. - Demonstrated ability to capture and edit short-form video content for maximum engagement. - Strong visual storytelling skills, with experience in creating attention-grabbing video. - Excellent multitasking and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple content projects on tight deadlines. - Experience with motion graphics and 2D animation is a plus. - Ability to analyse social media metrics to optimise content performance. - Natural ability to stay ahead of the curve with social trends and innovations, with social media being second nature.
