Transforming Data into Insights with Red Bull

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Red Bull. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and hardening critical data pipelines, helping to put data science models in production environments, optimizing data access patterns, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.

About the Role:

In this exciting position, you will work closely with our data scientists and engineers to design, implement, and maintain complex data pipelines using Apache Airflow. You will optimize complex SQL queries and analyze query performance bottlenecks on Google BigQuery. Additionally, you will configure, monitor, and test cloud services on Google Compute Platform to continuously evolve our product and make best use of available services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex data pipelines that align with data scientist and business requirements, ensuring simplicity, maintainability, correctness, and performance.
  • Analyze large quantities of data in real-time to provide clients with required insights, leveraging Google BigQuery for heavy lifting.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries to understand performance bottlenecks and improve overall system efficiency.
  • Configure, monitor, and test cloud services on Google Compute Platform to ensure seamless operation and optimal resource utilization.
  • Propose, design, and implement monitoring strategies to quickly detect issues in our data products, working together with the team to implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify new approaches to tackle challenging product requirements and deliver new features quicker and with higher quality.

Requirements:

  • 4 years' experience working as a software or data engineer.
  • Ability to design & build both maintainable and reliable Python code.
  • English fluency.
  • Experience building data processing pipelines in Python (Apache Airflow).
  • Experience with big data solutions offered by major cloud providers (esp. Google Cloud).
  • Experience with building critical software components with high uptime guarantees is a plus.

Salary:$150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
