Financial Controller with Strategic Focus

As a Financial Controller at Erste Bank, you will play a key role in shaping the bank's financial management and controlling strategy. With your expertise in cost development and outsourcing issues, you will contribute to the success of the Cost Controlling department and the entire Erste Group.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Controller to join our team in Vienna. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and forecasting personnel costs, setting and monitoring KPIs, and supporting business units in achieving (HR) cost targets.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and forecast personnel costs in coordination with the Group strategy
  • Set and monitor KPIs, supporting business units in achieving (HR) cost targets
  • Regularly report personnel cost development to top management and participate in strategically relevant projects
  • Analyze the current cost structure, identify cost potentials, and engage in ongoing exchange with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and implement HR controlling steering methods and related reporting (i.e., visualization & automation)
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A completed university degree with a focus on controlling, human resources, business administration, or business law
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in HR controlling or payroll accounting, preferably in the banking sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP (CO/HR/Success Factors), with Tableau being an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work in a team, commitment, and excellent communication skills in English
  • Basic knowledge of Austrian labor law
