Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Thesis Researcher to join our team at AVL List GmbH. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a thesis project focused on the thermal and erosion resistance of materials in battery applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a literature review of available scientific articles related to battery technology and materials science.
  • Develop a test matrix and standardize test specification for the selected materials.
  • Set up experiments for the selected materials and compare their properties.
  • Catalogue results and detail analysis of the test results.
  • Build a 1D or 3D simulation model to analyze the thermal and erosion resistance of the materials.

Requirements:

  • Studying the field of engineering, technical or natural science studies.
  • Knowledge of battery technology is a plus.
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German is beneficial.
