Research Opportunities:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to conduct research on the hybrid CAA approach and current methods in the field of aeroacoustics.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct literature research on the hybrid CAA approach and current methods
  • Perform LES simulation of rotating fans with the rotating fan modelled as EMBB to provide acoustic source terms
  • Apply the workflow with AVL FIRE M and openCFS
  • Analyze and validate results

Requirements:

  • Ongoing master studies in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, or similar
  • Experience with 3D simulation and meshing is appreciated
  • Programming skills are advantageous
  • English or German language skills
