The Lead Automation Engineer is tasked with spearheading the design and execution of Automation Projects, with a primary focus on Intralogistics.

The role encompasses the coordination and oversight of all trades and interfaces from the planning phase through to project acceptance, ensuring adherence to Red Bull's high standards throughout the process. The Lead Automation Engineer collaborates with internal stakeholders to craft and refine tailored Red Bull concepts and standards. Additionally, this position involves evaluating vendors and assessing new technological advancements. The Lead Automation Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Plant Engineering & Automation.

Key Responsibilities

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS

Creating innovative automation strategies specifically designed for Red Bull operations is fundamental to our mission. This requires careful management of the needs and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive consideration of all viewpoints. Our team is responsible for producing detailed designs and specifications for automation systems, ensuring they are both functional and innovative, ready to meet operational demands.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION

From the initial project phase to final handover, we meticulously manage the execution of automation initiatives with a focus on precision and quality. Integrating new automation systems into existing frameworks is a vital part of our role, ensuring smooth functionality and minimal disruption. We develop thorough RampUp strategies and provide extensive support to operations during this critical transition, guaranteeing optimal performance from the outset.

ESTABLISHMENT AND ENHANCEMENT OF AUTOMATION STANDARDS

A primary objective is to create and continuously refine company-wide standards for automation practices. This commitment ensures a consistent and high-quality approach across all automation projects. By upholding these standards, we ensure that every initiative not only meets but surpasses industry benchmarks, reflecting our dedication to excellence in all aspects of our work.

Qualifications

Fluency in both spoken and written English and German.

A Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Over 5 years of experience in a relevant role within Engineering, Automation, or Robotics.

Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent project management capabilities with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.

Robust analytical skills to translate diverse requirements into technical solutions.

Technical proficiency in intralogistics processes and automation, warehouse operations and technologies, as well as interfaces with building and production equipment, and IT systems.

Familiarity with industry standards, cutting-edge technologies, norms, and regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office (particularly MS Project) and AutoCAD software.

Certification in project management or relevant automation technologies.

Experience with advanced robotics and AI-driven automation solutions.

Additional Information

In compliance with legal requirements, we disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.392 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
