Electrical Engineer for NVH Optimized Gearbox Development

The rise of battery electric vehicles has increased the focus on noise and vibration, especially from the Electric Drive Unit (EDU). To address this challenge, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop an NVH optimized gearbox for EVs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, dynamics, and gears, as well as experience with multi-body simulation and FE meshing.

About the Role
We offer the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that aims to simulate and improve the NVH performance of EV gearboxes. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting a literature study of existing simulation methodologies
* Developing a multi-body simulation model for an Electric Drive Unit Gearbox
* Conducting dynamic simulations and assessing their results in relation to NVH
* Applying DOE and balancing NVH and efficiency targets
* Correlating simulation outcomes with actual measurements

Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Ongoing master studies in Mechanical-, Automotive Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics or similar technical field
* Background knowledge in mechanical field (dynamics, gears, NVH)
* Experience with multi-body simulation and FE meshing is beneficial
* Fluency in English or German language skills is essential

We Offer

Upon successful completion of the thesis, you will be remunerated with a one-time fee of 3,500 EUR before tax.
